sigurrór g. björnsdóttir - hat

Sigurrós is an Icelandic artist based in Antwerp. She received her master's degree in Fine Arts (sculpture) at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2021. Sigurrós works in various media, mainly making sculptures and writing fictional short stories inspired by her surroundings and photographs she has been collecting through the years. Her sculptures are largely made from ceramics and concrete, they are simple shapes with added details in the form of drawings, photographs, or handmade objects that give the viewer clues about the story behind the work.
